Lotto Match 3 to Win £100 Promotion
In the 'Match 3 to win £100' Lotto promotion, each winning entry in the Match 3 prize category will receive £100 instead of the usual £30, subject to prize capping.
The amount of money available to top up each winning Lotto entry in the match 3 prize category from £30 to £100 is £17million (the “Promotion Prize Fund”). In the unlikely event that the Promotion Prize Fund is not sufficient to top up each winning Lotto entry in the match 3 prize category by the required £70, then the Lotto promotion prize will be capped and will be less than £100.
How will my capped promotion prize be calculated?
The capped promotion prize payable to each winning entry in the match 3 prize category will be calculated as follows:
- Each winning entry will receive the £30 it would win if there was no promotion in that Lotto Draw.**
- The Promotion Prize Fund will be divided by the number of winning entries in the match 3 prize category.
- The amount calculated under step 2 (the “Capped Top-Up Amount”) will be added to the £30 prize referenced in step 1 and this will be the total prize payable to each winning entry in the match 3 prize category.
**in the very unlikely event that match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize capping takes place in accordance with the Lotto Game Procedures, each winning entry in the match 3 prize category may receive less than £30 as a core game prize (the “Capped Match 3 Prize”). The amount payable to each winning Lotto entry in the match 3 prize category in this event will be the Capped Match 3 Prize plus the £70 (or the Capped Top-Up Amount) from the Promotion Prize Fund.
Lotto Double Prize Event Promotion
Lotto Double Fixed Cash Prize Promotion – prize capping
Match 3 to Match 5 + Bonus Ball Prize Capping:
In the Lotto double fixed cash prize promotion, all fixed prizes in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories will be doubled, subject to prize capping.
The amount of money available to top up each winning Lotto entry in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize category so that it receives double the normal fixed prize (i.e. an additional £30 for match 3 winning entries, £140 for match 4 winning entries, £1,750 for match 5 winning entries and £1,000,000 for match 5 + bonus ball winning entries) is £28million (the “Promotion Prize Fund”).
In the unlikely event that the Promotion Prize Fund is not sufficient to double the prize for each winning Lotto entry in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories, the Lotto promotion prizes will be capped.
How will my capped promotion prize be calculated?
The capped promotion prize payable to each winning entry in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories will be calculated as follows:
- Each winning entry will receive the normal fixed prize it would win if there was no promotion in that Lotto Draw (the “Core Prize”).*
- The Promotion Prize Fund will be allocated in the following way:
- The relevant amount calculated under step 2 for each prize tier (the “Capped Top-Up Amount”) will be added to the Core Prize referenced in step 1 to determine the total prize payable to each winning entry in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories.
All winning Lotto entries in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories will be awarded an additional amount of up to £30. If there is any money left in the Promotion Prize Fund after paying the £30, the remaining money will be used to pay up to a further £110 to all winning Lotto entries in the match 4 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories. If there is any money left in the Promotion Prize Fund after paying the further £110, the remaining money will be used to pay up to a further £1,610 to all winning Lotto entries in the match 5 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories. If there is any money remaining in the Promotion Prize Fund following that payment, the remainder will be divided equally amongst the winning Lotto entries in the match 5 + bonus ball prize category.
*in the very unlikely event that match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize capping takes place in accordance with the Lotto Game Procedures, each winning entry in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories may receive less than the Core Prize (the “Capped Core Prize”). The amount payable to each winning Lotto entry in the match 3 to match 5 + bonus ball prize categories in this event will be the Capped Core Prize plus the required top-up amount (or the Capped Top-Up Amount) from the Promotion Prize Fund.
Jackpot prize capping
In the Lotto double fixed cash prize promotion, Camelot will, subject to prize capping explained below, top up the jackpot so that each winning Lotto entry in the jackpot prize category receives at least £2million.
For example, if there are five winning Lotto entries in the jackpot prize category, but the jackpot available to be won is £6million, Camelot will top up the jackpot to £10million so that each winning Lotto entry receives a prize of £2million.
The amount of money available to top up each winning Lotto entry in the jackpot prize category to £2million is limited to £7million. If £7million is not sufficient to top up each winning Lotto entry to £2million then the amount available for distribution amongst winning Lotto entries in the jackpot prize category will be the jackpot plus £7million. In this event, the prize per winning Lotto entry in the jackpot prize category will be less than £2million. If there is an unusually large number of winning Lotto entries in the jackpot prize category, the prize may be lower than the prize for each winning entry in the Match 5 +Bonus Ball prize category.
